Direction of Care Solution

Preferred in network pharmacies to lower drug spend and promote patient safety

direction of care diagram

Direction of Care (DOC) refers to workers’ compensation regulations that allow a payor to choose the pharmacy network or providers a patient must use for their injury-related prescriptions. Five states − California, Connecticut, New York, Minnesota and South Carolina – have varying regulations that allow pharmacy DOC (and more states are coming). This makes it difficult for payors to navigate in their attempts to drive more pharmacy scripts in network.

The MyMatrixx by Evernorth® DOC Solution simplifies the process by guiding patients to use our national, preferred DOC network of trusted pharmacies to lower client drug spend and promote patient safety.

The MyMatrixx DOC Solution saves clients on average $70 or greater per script*
