Phil Walls to Speak at PRIMA’s Annual Conference


Tampa, Florida, June 1, 2012 – Phil Walls, R.Ph., the Chief Clinical Officer for myMatrixx, a full-service pharmacy benefit management company, will speak at the Public Risk Management Association’s (PRIMA’s) 2012 Annual Conference.  Along with the City of Tampa’s Risk Manager Michael Laperche, MBA, CSP, RMPE, Walls will examine the thorny issue of prescription drug diversion in workers’ compensation.

Walls and Laperche will discuss the risks, costs, and dangers of drug diversion and the potential for employers and other workers’ compensation payers to be held liable for misuse of a claimant’s prescription.  They also provide practical strategies for identifying and stopping drug diversion and preventing fraud.
