Mike Geis is the Chief Information Officer for myMatrixx. He joined the company in 2011 as the Vice President of Information Services. Mike oversees the organization’s IT infrastructure, security and compliance and software development. He is responsible for developing and maintaining key vendor and partner relationships critical to the organization’s information services. He led the organization’s SOC 2 and SSAE18 type II initiatives and has directed numerous initiatives related to the URAC accreditation process.
Prior to myMatrixx, Mike served as the Vice President of Information Systems for Lifestyle Family Fitness, a regional chain of fitness centers which was acquired by LA Fitness. He was responsible for PCI compliance initiatives, migration to VOIP voice infrastructure and virtualized server/storage infrastructure. Additionally, he served in leadership positions with Quality Distribution, Inc., Ikon Transportation Services and Montgomery Tank Lines.
In 2016, Mike received the prestigious CIO of the Year award which was granted by the Tampa Bay Business Journal. Mike holds top industry certifications including CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) and CISM (Certified Information Security Manager). He is a member of ISACA and the Tampa Bay Technology Forum.
Mike earned his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Florida Southern College and his MBA from the University of South Florida.
Mike is a native to Cincinnati and a diehard Bengals fan. He is a former college soccer player who enjoys spending his weekends at the soccer field supporting his son’s team.
